At Omaha HAVEN we strive to assist families in transitioning between public and home-school settings and provide opportunities for Latter-Day Saint home-school families and their friends to connect in meaningful ways. Everyone is welcome to utilize this resource and participate in activities as we each seek to fulfill our divine charge--to build families that are respectful, educated, compassionate, faith-filled contributors to a civil society.

Micro-school

Omaha HAVEN Micro-school is here! 

The purpose of the Micro-school is to provide opportunities for families to connect in meaningful ways, to assist parents in the process of educating their children, and provide great resources for educational success.

Before beginning the registration process, please read through the information below to make sure this is a viable option for your family. If you have already made yourself familiar with the micro-school, click HERE to apply. Registration will close on July 31st.

*Please note that we carefully vet participants of our Network. If you have not yet joined Omaha HAVEN, even if you apply, we will not send registration documents until you have been vetted by a member of the HAVEN Board.

Groups

  • Grades 3-5 Language Arts
  • Grades 3-5 Life-skills, Science, Music, Art, Math
  • Grades 6-8 Language Arts
  • Grades 6-8 Life-skills, Science, Music, Art, Math
  • High school via American Heritage
  • High school via College Now (If we can find a willing person)

   *Parents will drop off and pick up.

Costs

  • $30 non-refundable registration fee.
  • An annual supply fee paid prior to the start of the school year will be determined by the tutors. For 2024:
    • Grades 3-8 (Both Lang. Arts & Life-skills combined): $150 per child
    • Other groups: TBD
  • $150 per month for the 1st child
  • $125 per month for the 2nd child in the same family
  • $100 per month for each child thereafter in the same family
  • High School Costs are TBD.

Administrators and Tutors

Current Schedules:

Mondays:

  • Grades 3-12 meet 9:00 am to 3:30 pm (Parents need to send a lunch)

Wednesdays:

  • Grades 3-12 meet 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (Parent-led classes/study group tbd - optional)

Registration:

Please note that your spot is not considered held until the $30+ registration fee and necessary documents are received by the President, Vice President, or Treasurer of Omaha HAVEN or the Micro-school Administrator. These names change from time to time and so will be included on the documentation.
